In the summer of 90, John, fresh from the breakup of the Hilltops, and drummer Charles David Overton, formed this band with journeyman songwriter Tim Lee (Windbreakers, Matt Pucci) on bass. They recorded these demos with Bruce Watson, who later went on to do seminal recordings with Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside and is a co-owner of Fat Possum records. The trio played one gig before John moved back to New Orleans to pursue other musical projects.
